Create an oasis in your week, [FIRST NAME GOES HERE]

Dear Reader,

Slowing down might feel like a luxury right now, but I'm going to argue that it's never been more important. Especially if you're considering your next direction.

I'm writing to invite you to join me next Tuesday, April 21, for Future-Focused Freewriting: Find Your Inner Compass, a free workshop I'm offering through CreativeMornings FieldTrips.

This is a special moment to carve out some quality time for you to think about what you really want for your future.

In this relaxed one-hour session, I'll guide you through several freewriting prompts to help you reconnect with yourself and what could be next for your life and work.

Everyone is welcome. You don’t need to consider yourself a writer to join. All you need is pen and paper and an openness to seeing what emerges for you.

Our world, especially with the heavy pickup on AI technology, is accelerating. It feels like we’ve never been more overwhelmed by ideas and options. We’re living in a time when information has never been more plentiful and so personalized just for us. There’s an allure that anything and everything is possible.

But what is right for us? What aligns with our definition of a meaningful life?

Only we know that, deep down. And we need reflective space for that inner wisdom to emerge.

I’ve designed this workshop to give you that space.

"The Future of Work" is a phrase that appears everywhere lately. There are massive forces driving the questions of what the future of work will look like, from AI and whether it will substantially change our work or is so much hype, to shifting political landscapes, evolving social values, economic volatility, and the impacts of climate change. Amid so much change, making your own decisions about what's next with work can feel overwhelming and daunting. It can feel like everything is out of...

Dear Reader, I’ve been visiting family in the U.S., and for the past few evenings, it’s been delightful to sit in the living room with my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew, to watch the Olympics. We were particularly hooked on pairs figure skating. It was great fun pretending that we were suddenly qualified judges, trading predictions on whose performance would get the gold. We were thrilled with the dramatic ups and downs of Miura Riku and Kihara Ryūichi, who won Japan’s first gold...
